DARREN BADER - MANAGER
Darren Bader began working for A & M Berk in 1997. He started as a manager of the Broad and Blavis Street office in North Philadelphia. In 1999, Darren took over the day-to-day operations of the Spring Garden Street office in Center City. Darren is a 1997 graduate of Temple University, where he majored in accounting. Darren became certified as an Enrolled Agent in 2003, which allows him to represent clients before the IRS.
MARK T. BERRY - V.P. HUMAN RESOURCES
Mark T. Berry is a 1996 graduate of Temple University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance. He became an Enrolled Agent with the IRS in 2000. Mark has also passed the Series 7 and Series 63 exams to work with his clients In areas of financial planning and budgeting. He is also a licensed real estate agent in Pennsylvania. His background in finance and real estate gives him an advantage over other tax preparers in that he understands the complexities of stock investments and rental real estate returns. He prepares all sole proprietors, partnerships, and LLC’s.
RONALD COVINGTON – V.P. HUMAN RESOURCES/ MANAGER
A native of Philadelphia, Ronald Covington attended Franklin Learning Center High School and graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he received a bachelor's degree in accounting. He has been with the firm since 1994 working out of the Broad and Erie office for the majority of his stint. He is now partner and VP of Human Resources with the firm and manages the 4 offices along Broad St. His tax expertise includes personal and small business tax returns. Specialties includes preparing returns for physicians, nurses and all other medical fields; city employees; rental properties; daycare providers; barbershops; variety stores; general contractors and all other independent contractor business returns.
KYLE HOLLAND - MANAGER/ IT CONSULTANT & TECHNICIAN
Kyle began his career with A & M Berk in 1999 as a part-time preparer and student. Prior to joining A & M Berk, Kyle studied CIS and Marketing at Temple University. Followed by the success of A & M Berk's newest office in the Kensington section of Philadelphia and finishing his studies at Temple, Kyle joined the A & M Berk team as a partner and full-time employee in 2002. Today, Kyle manages both Kensington and Mayfair offices.
DAVID MCDONALD – PRESIDENT
David is a 1988 graduate of Spring Garden College. He has over 20 years of tax experience and specializes in small business and corporate tax. In 1997, David became licensed to practice before the Internal Revenue Service as an Enrolled Agent and has been an active member of NAEA and PA Society of Enrolled Agents since 1998.
